Seguin Art League’s Paint Out
8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. – 104 South Austin Street
Artists meet at the Seguin Art League’s building in downtown Seguin and then spread out over downtown Seguin to paint land marks and scenes from downtown or anything Seguin. Artists will turn in their artwork by 6:00 p.m. The artwork will be judged and sold in Central Park on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Tour Sebastopol House
9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. – 704 Zorn Street
Seguin was once known as “The Concrete City” for constructing many buildings out of one of the first forms of concrete using limestone. This 1856 Greek Revival mansion is one of the country’s best preserved examples of 19th-century experimentation with concrete construction. Exhibits show the technology used by skilled slaves to build this remarkable house in the years before the Civil War. New exhibits display rare and highly collectible pottery from the Wilson Pottery Foundation. Visit and learn all the rich history. Tours begin every hour on the hour with FREE Admission!

Magnolia Hotel Open House Tours

Free guided tour of the Historic Magnolia Hotel. The Magnolia Hotel was built in 1840 by co-founder of Seguin and original Texas Ranger, James Campbell.
10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. – Downtown Seguin, 201 South Austin Street
Stroll through downtown to view over twenty scarecrows in our downtown merchants. This annual tradition is a competition between the downtown merchants to be named the best scarecrow. The competition pays homage to Seguin’s agricultural roots when the scarecrows served a greater purpose than decoration.

Enjoy delicious taste of Texas wines and meads (honey wines) made right here in Seguin. Tickets for the tasting are $15 and can be purchased at the door.
Pachanga at Teatro De Artes De Juan Seguin

Teatro De Artes De Juan Seguin will open doors to the public with free dancing lessons, followed by a community wide dance.
Hats Off to Juan Seguin Pub Crawl

This annual celebration of our city’s namesake is all about fun. To honor Seguin’s birthday, everyone is asked to show up wearing a fun, creative hat while meeting up with your friends in Central Park and check in at the registration site to get your Pecan Fest Pub Crawl pass. Wear your hat all evening long as you go bar to bar. First 150 registered participants to check in at Central Park will receive a complimentary gift.
